Position Objective:
Chick-fil-A Denver West is seeking a Kitchen Director. The primary responsibility is to maintain a culture that promotes a clean and safe environment, produces great food in a fast and accurate manner, and a commitment to providing great hospitality to our team. This individual must be able to effectively communicate in both Spanish and English and the ability to jump into the fast-paced environment of Chick-fil-A, and have a strong understanding of Chick-Fil-A Denver West values, procedures, policies, and operational goals. As a member of the Director team, the Kitchen Director will be expected to support all levels of restaurant leadership and understand that operational success shall be the first priority for everyone in the restaurant. Long-term, this individual will have the opportunity to continue to serve as a top leader in an even larger capacity or even pursue becoming an Owner/Operator themselves.
Kitchen Director is a full-time position and must be able to work a flexible schedule
Prior experience in kitchen work, leading a team, knowledge around food safety are very helpful to the success of a Kitchen Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees entire kitchen operation
- Clear communication with the Operator and peer Director Team
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Delivers a quality product in a timely manner to Chick-fil-A standards
- Assists in inventory management and organization with a focus on food cost
- Maintains a LEAN production environment
- Assists with scheduling and managing labor
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and training of new team members
- Coach, evaluate, and provide accountability and feedback for kitchen leadership
- Strong focus on maintaining and developing a leadership pipeline
- Assist in evaluating the maintaining the health of kitchen equipment
Requirements:
- Positive attitude, outgoing, and friendly
- Must hold the highest personal standards for performance
- Must understand all key business standards related to food safety, food quality, and cleanliness
- Must understand key business metrics and measures of success (sales and sales growth, food cost, labor cost, etc.)
- Builds and maintains relationships
- Self-starter, shows initiative
- Resourceful and efficient
- Ability to start and complete projects in a timely and efficient manner
- Good communicator (English and Spanish)
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
- Results oriented
- Strong time management skills
- At least 18 years old
- Able to lift 30+ Ibs
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Have a reliable source of transportation
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
